John Moore has 20 plus years of international experience in the service of public, private and non-profit interests across the Islamic world. His previous professional experience includes working in a variety of humanitarian, development and commercial roles across parts of South Asia, the Middle East and East Africa.
Ty Moore is a born and raised Alaskan who enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1995 as a Reconnaissance Marine in Echo Company, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion aboard Elmendorf Air Force Base where he served in a variety of billets including Reconnaissance Team Leader.
He received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1999 after graduating from Virginia Military Institute. LtCol Moore has been the Inspecting Officer and Operations Officer at Ft Lauderdale FL, Military Planner and Regional Affairs Officer in Okinawa, Japan, and his current assignment is as Homeland Defense Planner, Alaska NORAD Region and Alaskan Command, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He is an Operations and Tactics Instructor, Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor (Black Belt), Water Survival Instructor, and graduate of the Cold Weather Survival and Airborne Schools.
